MCAP(Licensed Professionals) CEUS CONTENT

Individuals who hold an eligible license can apply for the MCAP through a shortened process that recognizes competency indicators already demonstrated as part of the licensure process. When all FCB requirements are met, the MCAP credential is awarded. After Completing this CEU course, applicant(s) must register with the Florida Certification for certification process. This include: DCF Level II Background screening, Current relevant license, 161 total clock hours of training, Three (3) professional letters of recommendation for certification and passing the Florida Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional Exam.

 161 total clock hours of training divided as follows:

  1. Understanding Addiction: 45 hours
  2. Treatment Knowledge: 45 hours
  3. Application to Practice: 20 hours
  4. Professional Readiness: 20 hours*
  5. Clinical Supervision: 16 hours*
  6. Electives: 15 hours
  7. Include at least 4 hours of HIV-AIDS and 2 hours of Domestic Violence.
