The Basics of HIV/AIDS

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a disease-causing retrovirus class that has its genetic aspect on T cells of the human body-CD4 cells. HIV infection is known to progressively degrade the immune system; thus people with the virus becomevulnerable to opportunistic diseases. AIDS is the last stage of HIV and onestands a high chance of getting other dangerous illnesses as the immune system will be very weak.
